Launched in 2012, the receipt of the Journal Impact FactorTM represents an important milestone in AER’s journey, and is testament to the journal’s enduring quality as a highly-valued and widely-utilised resource to support physicians seeking to stay abreast of key advances in electrophysiology.

Journal Citation ReportsTM is a valuable tool to assist researchers and academics make informed and confident decisions regarding their target journals based on transparent journal data – ensuring their research is best amplified to maximise academic and educational impact.

Of the award, AER Editor-in-Chief Prof Demosthenes Katritsis (pictured) commented, “AER was first launched accompanied by a quote from Aristotle that represents a cornerstone of the philosophical background of scientific rationalism: 'all men by nature desire to know'. I believe that the recently announced impact factor vindicates the efforts invested in this endeavour; it reflects the journal’s absolute and uncompromising commitment to scientific truth.

“We [AER] pledge to continue this effort at a higher level still, never hide-bound by rules of received wisdom, political correctness or commercial interests. Full transparency, scrutinous peer-reviewing by experts on each subject, and active editorial involvement has been – and will continue to be – the nature of AER.”

Of the announcement, David Ramsey, CEO of Radcliffe Group commented, “We are delighted that AER has achieved a prestigious Journal Impact Factor, which is a culmination of 10 years of hard work. We believe this reflects the journal’s sustained quality as it strives to support electrophysiologists and other healthcare professionals in their pursuit of excellence in daily practice. A big thanks to everyone who has contributed to the journey.”

Radcliffe Group, publisher of AER, would like to extend its thanks to Prof Katritsis for his dedicated stewardship, expertly supported by the journal’s Section Editors and engaged Editorial Board.
